Everyone knows Rock Hill is the place to go for real bread, made by real people, with real ingredients. Rock Hill Bakehouse has been a pillar of the community and a champion for doing the right thing for years. In fact, since 1991, owner Matt Funiciello and his crew have been turning out loaves of goodness so fresh and sought after that many noted food critics have written about them. Thus, lucky locals can stop in for a fresh loaf or two or even order from DoorDash.
Bread for Every Occasion
While the kitchen is currently closed, the bakery is cranking out delicious pastries and loaves of bread almost every day. From the deliciously different Chocolate Cherry to the savory Onion Rye, you’re sure to find a bread that fits your meal or occasion. No matter your bread preference, there’s a freshly baked loaf with your name on it at Rock Hill. In fact, there are so many mouthwatering choices that you’ll probably end up leaving with more than one type.
Pastries That’ll Make Your Whole Day
Even people who claim not to have a sweet tooth indulge in Rock Hill’s incredible pastries. Grab a sticky bun to make that morning coffee fantastic, or snack on fresh, soft chocolate chip cookies. Fortunately, even people who need gluten-free options can enjoy Rock Hill’s world-famous baking. The Linzer Torte and the Oat Chip Cookie are gluten-free but full of flavor. Finally, if a mildly-sweet, crunchy biscotti is your jam, you can go for Chocolate Almond or Lemon Pistachio. Buy your biscotti individually or by the pound.
Books Go Great with Pastries
Once you’ve grabbed your pastries and your loaf (or three) of bread, wander over to Rock Hill Bookhouse and Sweet Side Records. Then browse through the stacks and go through the racks for a new read and great new sounds. In Glens Falls, the Bookhouse is just around the corner from the Bakehouse, allowing you to get a lot of goodness all in one go.
