As Ferris Bueller said, “Life moves pretty fast.” Your day-to-day can get hectic, and let’s not forget bigger tasks and projects like moving. Surely there can be something that can make these tasks simpler. This is where life hacks come in. These little tricks help make your life a little less complicated. Whether it’s finding a way to open something with less strain or how to better prepare food, life hacks can help you in a variety of ways. Keep reading to see a few of the life hacks that BuzzFeed has to offer to help you simplify your life, so you can make the most of your day.

Make the Bed First

This tip is not about making your bed first thing in the morning, although you should do it. When you make your bed, you feel like you have accomplished something already so early in the day. It also helps make the rest of the room instantly look better. This tip, however, is more about putting together and making the bed when you move into a new place. It needs to be the first thing you do after stepping into your new place. After a long day of moving, you will be exhausted. The last thing you want to do in the late hours is to assemble and make your bed. If you do it first thing, you will be thankful to have a comfortable place to rest.

While on the subject of making the bed, some are more prone to getting acne than others. BuzzFeed suggests that changing out your pillowcase daily can assist with preventing acne. That can be a lot, so you can also opt to place a clean t-shirt over your pillow. You can simply switch your detergent as well to one that is unscented and good for sensitive skin.

Tips in the Kitchen

So much happens in the kitchen. There are bound to be some hacks you need in there to make your life easier, right? If you try to make healthy habits like buying natural peanut butter over regular, then you probably have run into the issue of how to store it. The oil tends to separate which is what you do not want with peanut butter. BuzzFeed suggests that you store it upside down. We also recommend that you store the peanut butter in the refrigerator rather than the pantry. Having trouble opening the jar of peanut butter or any other container like honey, syrup, etc.? Consider running the lid of the jar under hot water for at least thirty seconds. It is also advised that you wipe the lid after running it under the sink before you try opening it. Struggling to open a brand-new jar? You could try tapping around the lid with the handle part of a butter knife. This technique helps break the seal of the jar, allowing you to open it with ease.

Of course, onions and garlic go hand-in-hand. They, however, do not necessarily need to go into the pan at the same time. When you are cooking with garlic, remember that it takes less time to cook than onions. Allow the onions to cook first until they are translucent. You then can add the garlic to the pan.

Give Your Pet Some Lovin’

BuzzFeed quotes one of their contributors, who says: “Pets are only a part of your life but you are your pet’s entire life.” Remember to give them some loving whether that is in the morning before you head off to work or the evening as you settle down for the night. While it is good for them, it is also good for you. It helps build the bond you have with your pet, but it is healthy for you, too. It is a great and cozy way to get the physical touch that everyone needs.
