Get Ready For The Rock The Dock Fest

Guitarist on stage
This July, the pier at The Lake George Steamboat Company will resonate with the sound of live music, as Rock The Dock Fest returns to the lakeside for an evening of songs, food, friends, and fun.

Rock the Dock

This family-friendly event welcomes guests of all ages to come to the pier for a variety of unique acts. The venue itself also offers a distinctive experience, as you can enjoy the show from the space right in front of the stage, or hop aboard one of the steamboats let the lake’s waves rock you with the music. As the show starts and the sun sets behind the Adirondack mountains, you can watch the colorful stage lights reflect off the surface of the water.

Who’s Playing?

Expect a night of musicianship, expert instrumentation, and catchy grooves this year, as the 2023 Rock the Dock lineup features several talented jam bands. This year’s Rock the Dock lineup includes New Orleans group Galactic, featuring Anjelika Jelly Joseph, who have been performing together over 25 years, having honed their on-stage cohesion through more than 2,000 shows. Joining Galactic on this year’s bill are New Haven indie storytellers Eggy, who blend funk, psychedelia, and other feel-good sounds into an engaging and uplifting set. Heading over from Albany, the four-piece Hilltop jam band plays the waterfront festival as part of their rhythmic rise to acclaim, having formed just a few years prior.

Festival Food and Fun

While you’re listening to the music at Rock the Dock, you can also dig into excellent, locally crafted food from a lineup of vendors. This year’s food vendors are All Fired Up, The Mac Factor, Tres Mijas, The Extra Mile, Cooley’s Ice Cream, and Freddy’s Rockin Lemonade. Before you leave, don’t forget to drop by the merch tent for commemorative items like shirts posters, and other memorabilia from the bands. Half of all proceeds from previous festival’s merch will benefit Krantz Cottage.
