Boating has long been popular and common on Lake George in the state of New York. For residents of the area, boating is one of the most enjoyable hobbies. If you want to check out some excellent antique boats, you must come to the Antique & Classic Boat Show at the Lake George Village Docks. You’ll see a wide range of boats here. Furthermore, there are other activities to enjoy and take in during the show.

When, Where, and What

This is the 48th annual Antique & Classic Boat Show, as it has become a fixture in the community. The show runs for two days, Friday, Aug. 26, and Saturday, Aug. 27. Everyone is invited, and the festivities are free of charge. There will be more than 50 boats on display to check out. In addition, there will be classic Model T automobiles and Triumph sports cars for car lovers who plan to come.

The First Day

The Antique & Classic Boat Show begins at noon on Friday, Aug. 26. It will start at the Village Docks with a guided tour of Lake George. You get to sit in your boat and check out the southern basin of the lake. Once this concludes, go to the Fort William Henry Hotel at 5:45 p.m. for cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. This gathering will go until 8:30 p.m.

The Second Day

On Saturday, things kick off earlier in the day. The boats will be on display starting at 10 a.m. By 8 a.m., exhibitors will register and start setting up their boats. You’ll be able to explore the boats until 4 p.m. There’s also a fly-by parade at 3 p.m., followed by a barbecue awards dinner. The weekend wraps up from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. with an awards dinner at Fort William Henry Hotel.
