It’s about time to putt on over to the 13th Annual North Country Ministry Golf Tournament! This year, we are a proud sponsor of the event, as we support the ministry by offering a hand of hope to those in need. While this is a great opportunity to gather with your friends and family for a scramble, it is about far more than that. Read up on the event, and make plans to join our team on the course on September 19.
About North Country Ministry
This faith-based, non-profit organization is near and dear to our hearts, as their mission is similar to ours — to serve the community well. Their passion is to help the less fortunate get back on their feet. In the areas of Westerburg and Chestertown, their team works to serve the “working poor,” which falls under those that have endured hardship through a job layoff, defective transportation, or other financial crises, like a need for nourishment or a home repair.
While the poverty level is unfortunately high in this area, with the money raised from North Country Ministry events, our community can work to end hunger, poverty, and improve the lives of generations to come. The non-profit organization does far more than raising money and awareness with events, they also offer the following services to those in need:
- Clothing Center
- Baby’s Place
- Food Pantry
- Gathering Place
- Furniture Program
- Adult Living Units
- Play Groups
- Backback Programs
- Thanksgiving Baskets
- Giving Tree Program
