Friends Dining Out

Warmer weather means more time out on the town. If you live near Glens Falls, one place we think you should be this spring and summer is Downtown Social. Downtown Social is an eclectic group of restaurants and entertainment options where you can gather with friends or family in a relaxing atmosphere.

About Downtown Social

Downtown Social is a collection of three social venues that serve up great food, entertainment, and a lively environment for you and your friends or family to enjoy. They have social events, live music every Friday and Saturday night, and they host interactive social cooking classes once a month.

What’s on the Menu at Downtown Social?

There are two areas for dining. The Downtown Social menu features common favorites. You can start your meal with spinach and artichoke dip or social nachos. Then, ask the kitchen staff to whip up one of their large “More Than A Handful” burgers and sandwiches.  If you’re in the mood for a juicy burger, give the 1/2 pound Wagyu Prime a try. It comes with bacon, balsamic onions, bleu cheese, and garlic aioli sauce. Another great sandwich is the Asian Chicken Sammie. This sandwich is comprised of succulent pulled chicken, sweet Asian chili, and broccolini slaw. Yum. All of their sandwiches come with your choice of shoestring fries, tater tots, broccolini slaw, mac & cheese, cuke salad, or house salad.  If a sandwich isn’t what you’re craving, order one of their pizzas. If you’re out with a large group, order an 18-inch pizza.

The Fancier Side of the Menu

Tucked away on the other side of the Downtown Social group is a 1920s-inspired restaurant. The menu on this side of the building features a classier selection of dishes. You can start your meal with the Big Band Charcuterie & Cheese, which features salami, imported cheeses, and Rockhill bread. Pair it with a classic Caesar salad! For your entrée, give the French onion soup made with gruyere cheese a try. Order it alongside the candied bacon trio for something sweet and salty as well as savory. If you have room left for dessert, the crème brulee is delicious.
